Flat Cap with Moulded Integral Seal for Microcentrifuge Tube Natural Polypropylene Non-Sterile APEX® SafeGrip Screw-Cap

The APEX® SafeGrip Screw-Cap is a polypropylene flat cap with a moulded integral sealing ring for the most secure, leak-proof seal. The inert thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) seal used in this unique design eliminates the problem of loose O-rings which can detach from the cap. Each screw cap has a height of 6.10mm and outer diameter of 12.95mm. The polypropylene cap has rubber ribs on the outside that allow for effortless closing and opening of the cap, even when wearing gloves. The caps are available in a wide variety of rib colours to enable easy identification of microcentrifuge tubes. The APEX® caps can be used within the temperature range -196C to 121C making them suitable for boiling applications and storage of frozen samples. Caps are not designed for immersion in liquid nitrogen. APEX® SafeGrip Screw-Caps are certified free of RNase, DNase and DNA. The screw-caps are compatible with the APEX® Screw-Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes (Catalogue Numbers: CP5910-CP5915). They are internally threaded and a ¾ turn provides a tight and secure seal between the cap and microcentrifuge tube. The APEX® SafeGrip Screw-Caps are supplied non-sterile. The caps are white with natural rubber ribs, but are also available in a wide variety of other colours. They come in a pack of 500.
