eXTReme™ Seal Films Large Cut for PCR and Storage XTR films offer high performance under extreme conditions

The eXTReme™ Sealing Film is designed for PCR applications and long-term sample storage, providing a strong, clean-sealing adhesive that ensures sample integrity. Its specially formulated extra-strong acrylic adhesive creates an exceptional seal on all plate materials.

This film features a 50.8μm polyester film with a 41.9μm layer of strong acrylic adhesive layer, this sealing film removes cleanly from plate surfaces without adhesive stringing, residue, or contamination. It has a temperature range of -20C to +120C which makes it ideal for various laboratory conditions, including thermal cycling and freezer storage.

The eXTReme Film is engineered for maximum coverage and sealing efficiency, the large cut ensures a complete seal around the plate edges, reducing evaporation rates and preventing well-to-well cross-contamination. The larger cut allows for easier positioning by allowing edge-of-plate alignment instead of centring.

The film includes two end-tabs with perforations for easy placement and removal, and chamfered corners to eliminate plate overhang, making it suitable for robotics applications. Please note the end-tabs should be removed before thermal cycling for best results.

The regular film is ideal for raised-rim and non-skirted PCR plates, and the larger format is suitable for flat-top semi-skirted and full-skirted PCR plates. This non-sterile 100 pack of large cut sheets has an overall dimension of 143 x 81.5mm with a useable area of 122 x 81.5mm.

NB Complete application of sealing films by pressing with the accessory plate roller (RL-PLT-01) or paddle (PDL-5) assures a secure uniform seal around all wells.
