Alpha Laboratories sterile 1.2ml cluster tube Strips, also known as organised microtubes or microtube dilution vials, are supplied as 8 x12 microtube strips in a rack with a clear lift off lid. They offer a great alternative to deep well plates and are ideal for storage, dilution, mixing, harvesting, culture assays or screening applications. The rack and microtube system is equally suitable as a reaction vessel in robotic workstations or as a long-term storage vessel in a sample library. sequencing applications or for use in automated systems. The rack has a printed alphanumeric index and meets the SBS standard for the dimensional requirements of the footprint of a microplate. This makes it suitable for high throughput screening (HTS) and other applications using automated systems.

The rack measures 128.02mm in length, 85.60 mm in width and 42.16mm in height (47.24mm with the lid on). The racks are suitable for use within a temperature range of -80C to 121C and are autoclavable. Both the 1.2ml microtube strips and the rack are made from polypropylene. They are certified RNase, DNase DNA and Pyrogen free. Sterile formats are further e-beam irradiated.

Racked microtubes are also available in a 12 x 8 tube strip format (LW9505) or as 96 individual tubes (LW9509). Additional tubes (LW9560) or tube strips (LW9510, LW9530) can be purchased to re-fill and re-use the rack if desired.

Low Density Polyethylene strip caps for sealing the microtubes are available to order separately (LW9545/LW9555).
