When heat sealing, films are welded to the microplate, resulting in a secure and effective seal without the use of adhesives. Sterile Gas PermASeal II Heat Seal Sheets are a porous and gas permeable sealing solution, comprising a paper seal with a grid lacquer coating. Compatible with polystyrene, polypropylene, polyethylene and cyclic olefin copolymer plates, the seal can be removed by peeling. Gas PermASeal II Heat Seals can be pierced with a pipette tip manually and are also compatible with liquid handling robots.
This breathable plate sealing solution is idea when storing seeds or insects, there is no adhesive on the Gas PermASeal II Heat Seal that could interact with well contents, just an inert surface to retain and protect samples.
