Replacing 3.8% and 3.2% weight to volume preparations, Sodium Citrate is formulated at 0.11M as recommended by the International Committee of Thrombosis and Haemostasis, Subcommittee on Platelets.6 The ratio of whole blood to sodium citrate is 9 to 1.
