Product Information
PYROSTAR™ Neo+ is a new endotoxin detection reagent developed by recombinant technology using the Quantitative Kinetic Chromogenic Assay (KCA) technique. A highly sensitive and specific assay for bacterial endotoxin testing (BET).
It is a lyophilised reagent that mimics traditional Limulus Amoebocyte Lysate (LAL) reagents using a combination of 3 recombinant factors (factor C, factor B, pro-clotting enzyme) with sequences derived from the horseshoe crab (limulus polyphemus), and a chromogenic substrate (peptidyl pNA).
A non-animal derived alternative to conventional horseshoe crab derived LAL reagents, which contributes to reducing impact on wildlife.
