The Clarit-E Maxi Electroblotting System is a complete stand alone sub blot system for Western blotting. The versatile design of the Clarit-E tank allows the unit to be easily adapted for Vertical Page or IEF with capillary tube gels using the relevant optional insert.
Transfer capability for up to four gels in as little as an hour; low intensity transfers can be performed over night. Platinum wire electrodes 8cm apart generate a powerful electric field for efficient transfer; an optional plate-electrode insert is available for rapid 4 gel transfers. A detachable cooling coil, which can be connected to the laboratory water supply or a recirculating chiller unit, prevents buffer depletion to allow overnight transfers and fast high intensity blots, whilst maintaining low temperatures - important for protein stability during native transfers. Open design rigid cassettes maximise current transfer and eliminate 'shadow band' formation, colour coded to ensure proper orientation within the blotting system.
