Arachidonic Acid is a lyophilised preparation of sodium arachidonate. The working concentration of the reagent is 5mg/ml. It is for use in routine platelet aggregation studies for the differential diagnosis of aspirin-like release defects & Storage Pool Disease.
It is also used to evaluate the inhibitory effect of aspirin on platelet aggregation.
Store at 2-8C prior to reconstitution Reconstituted reagent is stable for 24 hours when stored stoppered at 2-8C or can be kept frozen at -20C for up to 8 weeks.
