A 50µm heat-resistant polypropylene sealing film designed for thermal cycling application. ThermaSeal sealing films are now produced with a slightly stronger adhesive than the original product for better adherence to plates.
Each sealing film measures 79.4 x 135.1mm and offers sufficient sealing area for all PCR paltes. Length between the perforations with end tabs removed is 123.1mm.
ThermaSeal sealing films are not pierceable. For applications where piercing with pipette tips or robotic probes is required for product recovery, see AlumaSeal II. For real-time PCR applications where maximum optical clarity is required, see ThermaSeal RT and RT2RR.

ThermaSEal MiniStrips sealing films are identical to ThermaSeal sealing films (above) but designed for sealing only one or two 8 well rows at the same time on PCR plates. Eash sealing film is 19.0 x 103.2mm including two removable positioning tabs. The long dimension with tabs removed is 82.6mm. Each package of 200 contains four bags of 50 sealing films.
ThermaSEal RT sealing films combine an optically transparent polyester sealing film with a strong, ultra-smooth, non-absorbing, non-fluorescing medical grade adhesive for superior performance in real-time PCR applications. In place of the customary paper backing, ThermaSael RT sealing films have a plastic liner which is easily removed before use and contributes smoothness and extreme optical clarity to the adhesive.
Dimensions are 79.4 x 142.9mm for sealing PCR plates. Length between the perforations with end tabs removed is 121.9mm
ThermaSEal RT2RR 50µm polyester sealing films for real-time PCR are sized to fit within the edges of raised rim 96 well plates. The same consistant ultra-high optical clarity as ThermaSeal RT sealing films (above) makes possible more reproducible, reliable, and consistant DNA amplification measurements.
An inert, strong, temperature-resistant adhesive assures reliable sealing around each well. Two end tabs assist in positioning the sealing film. Easy removal of the end tabs at perforated boundaries prevents lifting and higher evaporation rates that can occur with sealing films that overlap the plate rim. Recommended for specific DNA sequence detection in clinical diagnostics, forensic and basic research.
Dimensions 77.8 x 130.8mm. With end tabs removed length is 118.1mm.
A 38µm soft, non-permeable aluminium foil sealing film with strong medical grade adhesive, AlumaSeal II sealing films eliminate the need for heat-sealing devices or mats during thermal cycling.
Each sealing film measures 82.6 x 142.9mm and offers sufficient sealing area for all PCR plates. Length between perforations with end tabs removed is 125.4mm. Compared to other aluminium foils AlumaSeal II has less tendency to roll back on itself when removing the backing paper and conforms well to the plate during application.
Steril product is packaged in 100µm tamper-evident bags of 25.
