These sturdy racks are designed for safe drying and storage of glass plates. The small rack can hold up to 20x 2mm thick plates while the larger rack can accommodate up to 10x 5mm thick glass plates.
With a drying area of 21 x 31 cm, the Midi gel dryer can dry six 10 x 10cm gels or a single larger gel. The Maxi Gel Dryer with a 35 x 45cm drying area can dry twelve 10 x 10cm mini gels simultaneously. The unit’s microprocessor controls temperature and time, each parameter being displayed on its own LED display. The gels are heated from the base plate while the vacuum removes the moisture from below to dry the gel homogeneously. These dryers feature optimal sealing using a silicone rubber cover and supporting mask. When applying the vacuum, a groove that frames the drying surface provides an optimal tight seal during the drying.
he GelMaster™ Vacuum Pump features two pumps in one package: a room temperature vapour trap acts as a pump by condensing the hot vapours from the gel dryer and trapping them from the rest of the systems; this is followed by a high efficiency diaphragm pump, delivering a powerful, non-fluctuating vacuum for fast, smooth drying, which acts as the primary vacuum source. The pump is so efficient, one GelMaster™ can be connected to three gel dryers simultaneously. It’s 1.5L capacity allows between 10-15 gels to be dried before the trap needs to be drained. The GelMaster™ trapping medium can be used repeatedly.

The Clarit-E Gel Documentation system is simple, inexpensive and ultra compact. It contains a 16 bit CCD digital camera with a superb resolution of 14.7 mega pixels. For added convenience, limited space and budget requirements, it can be used computer free. The image is viewed from a large 8” TFT colour liquid crystal display. A variety of images can be captured from agarose and other fluorescent gels, colorimetric gels, autoradiography film and blotting membranes. The system is fitted with a 55mm ethidium bromide filter and has a safety switch to turn off the UV transilluminator when the door is opened. Files can be saved in a variety of formats for transfer to computer systems for storage and analysis. TheClarit-EGel Documentation system can be directly connected to a thermal printer - EL4070 - or to many other commercially available printers.

These new generation UV transilluminators include a specially designed safety UV leakage indicator which changes colour when UV light is detected. Each model includes a High Low intensity switch. A new and high quality starter ensures that the UV tubes energise immediately and without flickering. This feature extends the life of the tubes. Gel cutting tips, newly available from Alpha Labs. No more scalpels required, these tips offer a unique and convenient way to excise bands from gels. Gel cutting tips allow complete single handed and contamination free removal of the gel band of interest. The gel band is neatly extracted and contained in the tip. It can then be simply dispensed into a tube and the used tip ejected and disposed of.
