Combirack
Whether you are looking for versatility or specialised racking systems, Alpha has a broad range to meet your needs. The ever popular, Combirack is equally suited to everyday working use and longer-term storage. These reversible racks will accept 0.5 ml tubes on one face and 1.5 – 2ml tubes on the other, or a combination of both if using the Combirack Junior. Clear lids to protect your samples during storage are also available for these autoclavable polypropylene racks.

Combirack Junior
The combirack Junior is perfect for use as a working rack during sequencing procedures. One side has 32 wells for 0.5ml type tubes with 8 larger positions for 1.5 or 2.0ml tubes. The other side has the opposition configuration: 32 positions for 1.5ml or 2.0ml tubes with 8 smaller positions. Both sides have moulded indexing.

Freezer Racks
For sample transportation or compact freezer storage Alpha’s hinged 50 and 100 position racks are ideal when working with 1.5-2ml vials but storage options for larger 15ml and 50 ml centrifuge tubes are also included in our range. We are also pleased to offer both cryogenic vial workstation racks and dedicated storage boxes specifically designed for use with our range of cryogenic vials. The cryogenic vial workstations are designed with an integral locking ring at the base of each well, which couples with our free-standing cryovials to prevent the vial from rotating when you are unscrewing the cap and facilitating one-handed manipulation. See below for more details.

Bench Racks
For versatility our Four-Way Benchracks are valuable additions to the lab, depending upon orientation these racks will accept almost any tube. The Four-Way Benchracks will interlock to provide expandable storage for 50ml or 15 ml centrifuge tubes additionally each unit can be used as a stand alone rack, the four working faces offering distinct configurations to accept 0.5ml, 1.5-2ml, 15 ml or 50ml tubes in turn.

Cryoboxes
Made of extra strong polycarbonate, these durable cryogenic storage boxes are designed to be used at temperatures between –196 and 121C. Different models are available to accommodate 25, 81 or 100 cryogenic vials from 1.2 to 5ml.
A transparent cover allows the user to see the contents of the box and is keyed to the base to prevent misalignment. Printed with a series of squares (numbered 1 to 25, 1 to 81 or 1 to 100) the surface accepts writing with markers, facilitating inventory control.
On the 25 and 81 place Cryoboxes there is a unique colour coding system of coloured plastic grids to separate the cover from the base. On 100 place boxes, a colour base instead of a grid is used. An innovative vial picker is supplied with each storage box for quick removal of vials. A choice of four popluar colours are available.

MultiRack

The MultiRack is available in three models to accommodate a full range of laboratory test tubes and centrifuge tubes up to 30mm in diameter. Made of highly resistant acetal polymer, it will not shatter or stain on contact with most laboratory chemicals. It also has no coating that can chip, peel or rust in a water bath.
The MultiRack is made of three tiers to facilitate the insertion and stability of tubes. The base tier has rounded wells with drain holes. Convenient handles on each side of the rack will ensure a safe grip when carrying it around. Interlocking feet allow stacking. It is autoclavable at 121C for 20 minutes.

IsoFreeze PCR Racks
Bring the fridge to your bench with style with the IsoFreeze PCR gel-filled racks.
