EcoPac®- Tip Refill System for Biomek®FX & NX Workstations
The benefits of pipette tip refills are now available to users of Biomek® FX and NX Workstations. Save on storage space, waste and costs with the new EcoPac® refill system from Alpha Laboratories.
The EcoPac® system utilises environmentally friendly refillable racks and refill stacks of 5x96 robotic tips. They are compatible with instruments using the AP96 liquid handling head including
- Biomek®FX
- Biomek®NX
- Multimek®
- Biomek®3000
The refillable racks are supplied with a full tray of 96 tips and are used in place of the standard racked tips in your Biomek® workstation. When the racks are empty, it is quick and easy to reload them using the EcoPac® refill stack.
Save Time
It takes seconds to refill your racks.
Step 1: Press in the tabs at each end of the empty tip tray and remove it from the rack.
Step 2: Lift a new tray of tips off the EcoPac refill stack using the same tab system to release it
Step 3. Place the new tray into the empty rack and the tabs will lock it in position ready for use

EcoPac® tips are made from 100% virgin polypropylene and are metal-free. They are certified free from DNA, DNase, RNase and PCR inhibitors. Sterile tips are also tested for the presence of endotoxins.
Compatibility Assured
EcoPac® tips are subjected to rigorous physical testing Each batch is checked for correct functionality using the original manufacturer’s robots so you are assured of a trouble-free transition. There is no need to set up new tips in the instrument software. Just select your usual tip volume from the predefined list. See the ordering table below for further details.
