APEX® Screw-Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes
APEX® Screw-Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes are convenient and straightforward solution for short-term or longer-term storage.
Caps and tubes are manufactured from the same virgin polypropylene for improved low-binding properties and also to have matching expansion coefficients.
This means that both cap and tube will expand and contract at the same rate in response to temperature changes, to provide a high quality leak free design.
Tethered caps offer a useful solution when it is important the same cap remains with the tube.
Due to the demands of the LAL test for pyrogens, only sterile tubes and caps are certified pyrogen free.

APEX® Plus Screw-Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes
APEX Plus Screw-Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes are available with or without graduations and a large writing area for easy labelling.
The caps and tubes are manufactured from the same autoclavable polypropulene, meaning both cap and tube will expand and contract at the same rate in response to temperature changes (e.g. during thawing or freezing). The possibility of leakage is therefore minimised. Excellent clarity makes samples easy to see.
The range of coloured caps combined with the range of coloured cap inserts gives a vast array of colour combination possibilities. By using these contrasting colours for cap and insert, you can colour code your samples. Sterile tubes are supplied with a fitted, natural cap which is compatible with the coloured cap inserts. Coloured flat caps may be purchased separately.

APEX® Tamper-Evident Screw-Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes
Ideal for all applications requiring a tamper-evident seal, the Alpha Laboratories range of Apex Tamper-Evident Screw-Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes also has a multitude of benefits when used in your laboratory. They are ideal for freezer storage, boiling applications, centrifugation etc. and will fit most standard microcentrifuge rotors.
When the cap is screwed onto the tube the tamper-evident sealing ring is automatically placed. When unscrewed the ring is detached from the cap and remains in its position, showing clearly that the tube was opened.

APEX® ‘Security’ Microcentrifuge Tubes
Met by a satisfying ‘snap’ everytime it is shut, the flat top lid forms an extra-tight seal designed to prevent opening during normal use. This tube also has a textured writing surface area on the lid and the 1.5ml and 2.0ml tubes have an additional writing area on the side.
The walls are manufactured non-wettable, preventing liquids from adhering to the sides.

Alpha ‘Everyday’ Tubes - Screw-Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes
Evertday Screw-Cap Microcentrifuge Tubes are manufactured from biologically inert materials and are suitable for freezer storage, boiling and centrifugation up to 20,000g.
All tubes have a conical bottom allowing easy removal of sample and external ribs to give better grip when opening and closing. Amber tubes are also available for light-sensitive solutions and reagents (non-sterile, skirted tubes only)

SuperClear 15ml and 50ml Centrifuge Tubes
SuperClear 15ml and 50ml Centrifuge Tubes fit all popular centrifuges and storage racks. All tubes except skirted type feature extra large solvent resistant white labelling area and black graduations for use with clear or turbid samples. Skirted tubes have moulded graduations.
Caps are flat for easy labelling and can be closed with a quick ¾ turn to allow one-handed manipulation.
The high quality resin used gives a thicker wall, meaning these tubes can withstand repeated freeze-thaw cycles with no ill effects.
