Automated urine cellular and particle analysis controls

Recent advances in photo optical recognition software and laser technologies, have enabled automation of the laborious microscopic examination of urine.

For any Instrument, the use of appropriate controls to demonstrate that the method can identify and enumerate correctly the cellular and particular components found in a patient sample is essential.

Up until recently the use of a control with true cellular components has not been available for this type of automation.

The launch of the UA-Cellular range of controls finally provides a true cellular control that you can count on……literally!

The UA cellular controls are instrument specific and come as a 2 level control with clinically relevant levels of RBC’s, WBC’s, NSE’s, bacterial cells, casts and crystals, specific for the operating technology.

The controls have excellent closed vial stability of 105 days and a open via stability of 30 days.

Presented in flip top squeezey bottles to avoid pipetting and possible contamination, the controls follow the patient pathway to confirm instrument functionality.
