ALBAcheck^® - BGS Control Reagents

Whole blood - SP Control:

Intended for use as ABO & RhD controls for automated blood grouping systems:

The UKBTS has specific guidelines on the control of automated blood grouping instruments to ensure that there is no possibility of an error that could result in a transfusion reaction. The accuracy of ABO and RhD typing can be comprehensively challenged with a new 4-vial format of Whole Blood Controls from Alba Bioscience. This control material has been specifically designed to include a colour check for Immucor Galileo & Echo instruments and conforms to the UKBTS guidelines on the control of automated blood grouping on instruments

The controls come in a consistent presentation format of 4-vials of the following composition:

ALBAcheck^® - BGS High Titre Controls Kit

For use in the control of high titre anti-A and anti-B testing of blood donations. The kit provides a positive and negative control, which should be tested in the same way as the donation test samples.

In accordance with the Guidelines for Blood Transfusion Services in the United Kingdom (7th edition), the positive control has a potency of greater than 1/128 and the negative control less than 1/128
